Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) crews remain on scene at a vegetation fire burning in the Mount Nicholson State Forest, near the Dawson Highway at Glenhaughton. This fire is posing no threat to property at this time. Firefighters will be conducting backburning operations throughout the day. Smoke may affect the Dawson Highway so motorists should drive with caution and to conditions.  Nearby residents may be affected by a smoke haze. If affected, residents are asked to close windows and doors and if suffering from a respiratory condition, keep medications close by. If residents are concerned their property is under threat they are advised to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
