Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) crews are on scene at a vegetation fire burning north of the intersection of the Gore Highway and Boondandilla Road, Millmerran Downs in the Western Creek State Forest. The fire is posing no threat to property at this time. The fire has been contained and QPWS crews will continue to monitor the fire throughout the day. Nearby residents may be affected by smoke throughout the afternoon. Residents are asked to close windows and doors and if suffering from a respiratory condition, keep medications close by. Motorists should drive with caution and to conditions. If residents are concerned their property is under threat, they are advised to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
