The year was 1968. One of Brisbane’s earliest buildings would soon be lost to arson. As the roof caved in, senior firefighter Brian Dutton battled to save the historic Brisbane Supreme Courthouse while rookie Allan Bartlett raced next door to hose water from above. Despite valiant efforts, the courthouse suffered a charred demise at the striking of an arsonist’s match.
