  • Sunday, 2 April 2017 1:59 PM The Emergency Alert for Rockhampton has been CANCELLED. An Emergency Alert has been issued by the Rockhampton Regional Council. Major flooding in the Fitzroy River catchment is expected to peak on Wednesday at 9.4 metres. Rockhampton and surrounding areas will experience major flooding.   • Friday, 31 March 2017 5:23 PM The Emergency Alert for Bowen and Airlie Beach has been CANCELLED. Emergency Alerts have been issued by the Whitsunday Regional Council to residents in the Bowen and Airlie Beach areas to provide advice to boil drinking water as restored water may be discoloured and contain bacteria. As a precaution, people who received the Emergency Alerts have been advised not to drink tap water.  Read More >>

    The Emergency Alert for Jambin has been CANCELLED. An Emergency Alert message has been issued by the Banana Shire Council for residents in Jambin advising of a continued dam release at Callide Dam. The release is currently equal to the inflows but Jambin residents can still expect to be affected.

  • Thursday, 30 March 2017 1:00 PM The Emergency Alerts for Callide Dam and Kroombit Dam have been CANCELLED. Emergency Alerts have been issued by the Banana Shire Local Disaster Management Group advising that water level rises are occurring within Callide Dam and Kroombit Dam.
