South Nanango – bushfire as at 4.45pm Sat 19 Jan

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES), Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) and HQ Plantations crews are on scene at a bushfire burning near McGillivray Road, South Nanango. This fire broke out around 2.35pm and is posing no threat to property at this time. Firefighters are undertaking backburning operations in an effort to contain the fire. Residents may be affected by smoke, and are advised to close windows and doors and keep respiratory medications close by. Motorists should drive with caution and to conditions. If residents are concerned their property is under threat they are advised to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
