The Rural Fire Service Queensland (RFSQ) provides fire services to rural, semi-rural and some urban fringe areas - 93% of Queensland.
It ranks include about 35,000 volunteers and 2400 fire wardens. RFSQ volunteers and paid support staff fight fires, assist the community with hazard reduction burns and help the community prepare for fire season..
