Multiple Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) crews continue to assist Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) and HQPlantations at a bushfire smouldering within containment lines at the northern end of Bribie Island. Crews are currently mopping up and patrolling the edges of this fire, which is posing no threat to property at this time. Crews are monitoring a fire in Middle Swamp which is inaccessible and may produce smoke intermittently. Bribie Island residents may be affected by a smoke haze throughout the day. Residents are asked to close windows and doors and if suffering from a respiratory condition, keep their medications close by. Motorists should drive with caution and to conditions.
